Window Treatment design for a Naperville home 60540

Valance over wood blind

Posted On April 20, 2023

Our window treatment design for this Naperville home was styled after a Door County cottage. We have transformed the guest bedroom to have a door county cottage home look. The window treatment consists of wood blinds with beautiful valances that carried the cottage style we were after, The fabrics were a variety of casual fabrics, a mix of checks and cotton prints, an upholstered headboard in canvas-like cotton fabric, country-style quilt dressed with various styles and sizes of pillows to give that comfy relaxed and cozy look.  The deep blue-green paint added a beautiful country touch.

The pillows were carefully selected and all its fabrics were kinds of cotton and cotton blends, only to give the guest a comfortable stay. the colors of the pillows were pulled from the checks of the valance. As you can see the blue cording, the quilt pattern of the shams and the orange color as an accent.

The valance was hung from fabric-covered knobs and trimmed with a tine check fabric in blue and white. The same fabric was used to accent the headboard.

It is not a country style without the quilt, right?

For a bed cover a beautiful quilt in the same colors of the valance complete the look.

At Gailani Designs we offer our clients all styles of window treatments, valances, shades, shutters, drapery panels, sheer draperies, and motorizations. We also offer custom bedding which includes headboards, quilts, bedspreads, bed skirts, shams, pillows, and canopies.

There’s no home like yours.

And yet, it’s hard to find a custom window treatments specialist who wants to think outside the box and create something truly unique.

    • Retail stores have limited selections of fabrics, colors, and styles.
    • Many providers simply replicate trends or recycle previous designs.
    • And far too many designers are more interested in their ideas than yours.

You deserve to feel heard, and your designs should celebrate your creative voice.
